I am going surveying in Fort St James next week.

I will be staying in a little hotel in a little town on the edge of nowhere. I hope it rains, and that I can flick through channels on an old TV. I want to call people long distance and talk to them while staring at a wall of wood panelling and department store framed prints. I want to drive onto the reserve and set up my tripod and have reserve dogs beg for my lunch.

I want to see this place for myself. I want to see it all, all of the North, and this is just the beginning.
