Cats and Winter





My Alf is growing up.


And my Mabel is becoming more friendly, not that it looks like it.


This is the most photogenic structure in the city. It extends three times the length shown here. A photographer's muse - wait for a train to cross it, catch it in the morning mist, capture the contrast of the black on freshly fallen snow. The ice is still thick on the Fraser; spring is a distant thought.


And the sun is still low in the sky. This is a real winter, a real Canadian winter.
